Federico Carbajal

Federico Carbajal was the main influence behind some of my wire-work in class recently as I tried to create a foot inspired by his anatomy based work. He is an artist from Montreal who works mainly as an architect.

He uses galvanized wire, stainless steel, and acrylic to create his anatomy sculptures. in my research into wire artists I found that I like this work mainly because it is more complex and involves more than one wire as can be the case with some wire work, but also the fact that this seems to be truly 3D with intricacies inside the brain structure as well and despite the use of wire it still has a pencil drawing feel to it
